Questions To Ask Poem by Persephone Springs

Questions To Ask

Rating: 4.5

How much?
How much pain have you caused me?
How many?
How many pieces did you leave my heart in when you left?
How long?
How long did you love me?
How is it?
How is it that everything about you is wrong?
When I met you, I thought God had sent me my own angel
I would have crawled on glass for you
But that was then and this is now.
How much?
How much time did I waste with you?
How many?
How many ways did you hurt me?
How long?
How long did you mean to stay?
How is it?
How is it that I never saw it?
When we were together i thought I had found a gold mine
But now whenever I turn around all I see is a coal mine
This is now.

And now I see where I went wrong.
Why did I let you open me?
Open me and see me,
See all of me,
Me with my scars,
Me with my insecurities,
Me with my stubborn love for you.

I let you see and you walked away.
And i could ask a thousand questions.
But I only want to know,
How much?
How many?
How long?
How is it?
