Quiet Night Poem by Ronald Chapman

Quiet Night

Rating: 4.0

After the long quiet night is over,
My life in a distant land with my lover comes to an end.
My dream love, stolen away by dawn,

How can I endure,
these heartbroken days?
No words to say, but I miss you.

Walking past strangers in the rain,
Rain is hiding my tears.

On cold days,
my love cries for you,

On blue sky days, memories, of you and me,
walking along a sandy beach,
fill my heart, with our joyous days.

At sunsets, my Soul aches to return to you.
