Quiet Storms Poem by David Thomas

Quiet Storms

These quiet rains and tranquil storms
blow through these times still
reminding me of you and i,
our time together was unreal
like the world's largest waterfalls
or the deepest ocean blues

Been quite some time
i still think fondly of you,
i said i'd never miss you
but clearly i was wrong
i hope the world has been kinder to you
than i was for our time,
i wish you well and happy
a lifetime of success

My skin drinks these tranquil rains
my ears deafening from these quiet storms,
i dance calm my heart in tune
with every little dropp of rain
that strikes my tiny world,
i hope you are well i wish you love
it will be quite sometime should we ever
convene again
i hope it be amongst these quiet tranquil storms.
i miss the way you look in the rain...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
An old flame made stronger by strife, i highly doubt i will ever reach her again, but these quiet rain storms remind me of our time together, so why not share the feelings?
