Tell me the tales of a heart so scarred
By a love so deep and surreal
That the words of the minstrel and bard
Never came close to what I feel
To love another is my only vice
But it’s a crime condemning two
Numbed by the sight and scent of you
I resigned to pay such a hefty price
And flipped a wholesome life askew
Never again to look at the sky
Without your visage haunting me
No tears to shed should the whole world die
For your love sets my conscience free
