Radiant Lamenting Poem by Tara Crown

Radiant Lamenting

Rating: 3.8

Gather up your heart from the dirt
where it was carelessly dropped
in passing
The one who held it with ignorant hands
imperceivably
had lost this forgotten gift

Bathe it in warm wet sorrow
liquid light
cleanse away those echo prints
Dipping deep into silken truth
let bitter-sweet understanding
trickle, streak
Drip away residual impressions

Safely stowed in your familiar possesion
it will swiftly heal and regenerate
From within
A rythmic love will gust forth
and sweep through inside and out

Ride that sweet glow-breeze
with a smile on your lips
Awareness in your eyes
gratitude in your mind
And laughter abounding!

Your glittering treasure-gift sparkles again
glinting and prismatic
An offering to self
you gratefully accept

Now with face forward
whole and complete
You step down onto your path
with a secret rainbow-shine about you
And only one quick backward glance

The sad heart bathed with liquid light and cleaned with tears - what a beautiful picture. You just get better and better.
