Raiment Poem by John Bannister Tabb

Raiment

'How beautiful your feathers be!'
The Redbird sang to the Tulip-tree,
New garbed in autumn gold.
'Alas!' the bending branches sighed,
'They cannot like your leaves abide
To keep us from the cold!'
