Melpomene's Tears

Rain

Rain
pitter-patter on my pain
drench it and drown it
and wash it away
Rain
cleanse my hurt today
so I can lift my head and see him cry in pain
Rain
let me lose my pain to you this day
so I can gain space to store more again
Rain
take me away
let me flow thru this earth like you do today
and I shall rain down to earth once again.

    rain runs in cycles
    love runs around
    rain soaks into the ground
love runs it into the ground
rain rises back into the sky
    love raises questions
    leaving scattered and broken pieces

Match'd with an aged wife, I mete and dole
Unequal laws unto a savage race,
