Rain At Night Poem by Sony Dalia

Rain At Night

I work on my computer
Minutes trudge on;
Books look with pity
Rare visits pathetic.

Whirring fan quietly smiles,
Whiff of fresh air tickles,
Smell of earth soaking in showers
Revives memories of childhood, friends,
All that is gone irretrievably!

Haven't I braved the scorching sun?
Didn't I long for a dropp of nectar
As deserted roads stretched silently
On many a summer noon?

Freshness blooms aplenty
Having bathed all night.
Diversity creator's delight!
Rain or shine life goes on,
Soon or later time for a change!
