Searing summer lost ground once again,
Against the small but cool drops of rain.
Little drops fall on earth not to vanish,
Unite to quell the hot summer’s anguish.
Earth regains the lost charm and greenery,
New saplings also add glamour to scenery.
Colorful flowers embellish the earthly sheet,
As if fairies have created a new world sweet.
Dwindling rill gets water to sparkle in sun,
Bubbling with joy resumes its speedy run.
Farmer walks to fields with plough to till,
Land has drunk ambrosial rain to belly full.
Sweet fragrance of soil wet by first rain,
A balm on lovelorn hearts to assuage pain.
Newly weds run to terraces to soak the rain,
To douse the fire of love turning them insane.
Peacock dance again to woo the soul-mate
Weeps to see its own feet’s ugliness innate.
Thundering rain burdened clouds rule the sky,
High mountain peaks they finally reach to die.
There is a lot more to describe but rest a little,
Let me love the daisy, jasmine, and tiny myrtle.
