Rainbow City Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Rainbow City

Wrapped in extravagant excitements
Bubbling in reckless enjoyments
Encircled in continuous festivities
And conjugal recklessness
Occupants live for today
Forgetting tomorrow
Everyday comes and nobody cares
Sin is mutual indulgence
It is the rainbow city
The night is a crawler
Lights turn darkness transparent
And the day is a sleeper
The labour is cursed for the night
And the day is bored with rests
Stay away or you get entangled
