Raindrops Poem by KunJung Hsiao

Raindrops

Raindrops, in the summer, take off the heat and inpatient.
Raindrops, from heaven, play the songs of joy.

Your footprints catch my eyes from the ground, grasses, roofs, to the mountain.
The music you play on the street, street lamps, windows, from far to near, muffled to tremble, beats my heart.
The dancing you dance from the sky, eaves, flower stand, graceful and heavy, joy and cheer, into my eyes, pure my mind.

You stand on the leaves and then jump on petals, make the flowers cheer to peer at me.
You knock on my window and then slide into the earth to bring me surprise.

Hey, raindrops, my long apart old friend.
I stretch my hands let you run on my palms.

Your eyes twinkle at me with the lights of the diamond.
You run down my legs with the cool of the stream.
You jump into the earth and my memory to end the wonderful reunion of the summer.
