Rains Here Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Rains Here

Rains here

Like to sit
Like a bird on wire
And observe pouring rain
Each drop is a jewel, treasure

Some are like the needy
Are caught by wind, breeze
Others firm; stubborn-standing
They dig holes in surface of water
They make domes; tulip but inverted…

Like to sit
Like a bird on wire
Or branch or the porch
And observe pouring rain
Each drop is a jewel, treasure.

Wish I lived in old days
Then the rain must have been
Lovely as an orphan crying pristine
Today's rain is copy of sulphuric acid.

Like to sit
Like a bird on wire
Talk with the pouring rain
Each drop is the jewel, treasure.
