Raise The Flag Of Green & White Poem by Daniel McDonagh

Raise The Flag Of Green & White

Raise the flag of green & white
Of Celtic spirit and Irish fight
Lisbon is our father's memory
As he sang of Celtic’s victory.

60,000 souls can be heard
Sheltered within the home of Parkhead
The faithful travel and gather here
To celebrate, sing, dance and cheer.

We shall praise the courage of Neil Lennon
Crucified by some for his religion
As Ireland’s sons have worn with pride
On Parkhead's pitch; the green & white.

From the streets of dear old Glasgow
To Paradise, the faithful will go
Were legends have played, brave & bold
As songs of Celtic, pour from our soul.
