Ratul Puri | Lost In The Mountains Poem by Ratul Puri

Ratul Puri | Lost In The Mountains

The trees are tall, the rocks so steep
I wonder if I'll ever find my feet
The darkness falls, the stars appear
I pray for rescue, but no one is near

Lost in the mountains, so cold and so high
No one to hear my desperate cry
The snow is deep, the wind is strong
I fear I won't survive for long

I wrap myself in blankets tight
And try to make it through the night
I dream of home, of warmth and light
And hope that I'll be alright

The morning comes, the sun is bright
I gather my strength and take to the height
I climb and climb, my heart so full
And finally reach the mountain's pull

The view is stunning, the air so clear
I realize that I have nothing to fear
I may have been lost, but now I am found
And I'll never forget the mountains' sound.
