When the pain is persistent
And hurt tortures your heart,
When songs dry up from your tongue
And all you see is a long famished road
Reach for love

When the world becomes a burning hell
And friends stab you in the back
All you need is to reach for love

Love cures all
Love heals all
Love is the soothing balm
That can soothe all pain

When you lose your bearing
And the wind of life blows you here and there,
When you have no friends
And you are left with nothing but yourself
Reach for love

When your lover dumps you
And it seems the road is closed
When the hot African sun cannot dry the tears streaming from your eyes
Reach for love

Remember, love is the soothing balm.
