Read Me - Poem by Sophia White

You may look into my eyes
And see the sword-thrusts of sorrow.
You may look into my eyes
And tell me what I’ll be tomorrow.

You may look into my eyes
And see them return your shining.
You may look into my eyes
And smile at their youthful pining.

You may look into my eyes
And read my unwritten poetry.
You may look into my eyes
Only – tell me what you see.
