Reading Posts In The Morning Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

Some mornings when I sit down
and peruse the scores of postings
on the poemhunter site
I wonder at the abundance
of wise men and women
who post and post

True, one constant theme seems to be
the perfidy of the sexes
how we mistreat each other
and how miserable life is

Never mind that most live
in circumstances that would have been
restricted to the wealthy
back in the day

Get up off your duff! Visit the armless
and legless veterans in a VA facility!
Stop by the spinal injury ward
and tell those guys your troubles!

Enough spleen for this morning!
