Realizing Who I Am In You Poem by Alyssa Daniel

Realizing Who I Am In You

I hear all of what they say
Each and everyday.

I think somethings wrong with me
I try to be who you want me to be

Everyday I put on a face
Try and cover up the disgace.

You say I'm not what I hear
That you hold me dear.

That I'm not junk

That it's okay to be scared.

That your my shelter
Through any kind of weather.

How You'll be by my side,
When I fall in mid stride.

How even when I fight you
Your gonna be with me like glue.

I know I'm still a kid
But, I'll do my best to do as you bid.
