Rearisen Poem by Ima Ryma

Rearisen

We are some fir trees burned and bare
From fires that came through summertime,
Sad memories that we all share,
Victims of such human caused crime.
But now with winter we have some
Respite and protection to strive
For opportunity welcome
To gain needed strength to survive.
Cloaked in coldness of ice and snow,
We are hopeful of nature's grace
For destiny that we regrow,
Victory in this time and place.

Some fiery light and heat's begun,
But our friend, the rising sun.
