Recalling You Poem by Ahtesham Sham

Recalling You

Sitting beneath this sierra-
of cement and steel
In this dark horrific evening
I recall your face
and some memories
of the time
That I spent with you
Some fine days those were;
Holding hands in rain
Smiling to each other's face
No worldly worries
Because we had each other
At least that's what we thought so
Promises, Commitments
and Assurances

of spending whole life span
with each other
but here I am
In these dark times
sitting alone
I keep on looking up
at this beautiful twilight
These last red rays
Of the mighty sun
Keep telling me
All things at last
Come to an end
