Red Hot Blue Poem by Jay Hall

Red Hot Blue

Dancing blue flames cooled his red hot fever.
Said the prosecutor to the jury.
By days end I'll make you a believer.

Icy dark courtroom felt hot as the sun.
As the case was laid bare to the cold judge.
A grinning defendant warmed from the fun.

Video & photographs told of fires.
Eco-terrorist the papers headlined.
And yet it's your government that conspires.

The People versus Burning Man in play.
Yet much larger stakes hang in the scorched air.
USA, inc. makes revolution pay.

DA says enemy of state charges true.
Defense doctor counters with Red Hot Blue.
