Redeemed Poem by the bluemarine

Redeemed

As I see tonight, a bit clearer too,
That time has turned a threat to me
A price that seems fitting, for letting
Me flow through this endless streak
With no purpose, and no real cause
Is a job that it is performing on me
Silently, stealthily, but with no sign of caution, erasing,
Leading me with an unheard voice, out of this continuum I am living
Leaving me thoughtless, breathless, numbed to an unknown silence,
A twisted face, and staring eyes, as everything passes by.
Fading away slowly, sleepily entangled in my own breath
Left alone, at peace, unconscious.
This game you are so good at,
The same chill in its play,
As one that brings to work,
Every nerve and muscle in living flesh
On borrowing fear from a snake’s whisper.
And like the snake, concealing its fangs behind a practiced smile
No, not this time, this time I can sense your breath.
You working your way down my memory lane
Spreading an enchanted mist of treason
Ha! But will it matter? or have you killed me enough
To be so insolent to the very being of self
No, not again, this time I wont let u make me forget,
The worlds I love, and the worlds I dread.
Or on another account, and more worthy of care,
Not forget myself,
For fortunately today I remember who you are,
How? You might ask,
How did you fail in here, in what you do best?
Oh! no credit to me,
A divine call for a divine thought,
An urge of a friend, or a more personal want,
To survive and not be vanquished,
Not to waste the sweat of more precious
Persons, lives, thoughts and moments
Another waking call saves me today
So save the need to try me again
Oh time! I have fought you before,
Though lost, I remember what lost me there,
I win today, bettered you age old freak,
Battered the battering ram of yore,
Surely we’ll clash again tomorrow
Be better prepared and pray learn
What was tomorrow, won’t repeat its name
Now heavens forsake me, for you I have called to battle,
But today I win, today you falter.
Oh dear endless, un-named, unseen
Bringer of all ends, today I am redeemed….
