Redemptive Power

Surely its time to count the cost
Question the depths within
Before condemned and truly lost
Within the jaws of sin

Why should I stay behind and cry?
Walking once more as dead
Rejoining ranks with those who’ll die
Devoid of Living Bread

Am I to play again the fool?
Once more to be defiled!
Again to be the devil’s tool
Or God’s adopted child

Should I upon The Wind not ride?
Toward my Father’s door
Share with my Lord the things inside
As other saints before

I’ve faith to stand against the trials
I’ve hope and grace to trust
I’ll face each storm with mounting smiles
To Satan’s sheer disgust

I’m not afraid to air this boast
I’ve Jesus’ hand in mine
Through power of His Holy Ghost
I’ll reach my goal divine

I’m praising God for all He’s done
For all He’s had to say
For Jesus Christ His Lamb and Son
And strength to walk The Way

For true redemption here and now
For Jesus’ arms out wide
For loving grace my knee to bow
And rise a worthy bride
