Reflection and introspection

Day of reflection.
Introspection slowly played through.
Days and nights of joy and happiness.
Right through all the days of pure hell and crappiness.
I've been there, stopped and played the part.
Man I could write a book.
Looked back i did.
I hit a crisis, I passed, just.
In God and in myself I can only trust.
Looking back just once in a while,
Can make a difference to either withering away,
or making it another day.
Retrospect and self respected.
Self loathing and pity, deflected.
Introspection and Growth.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

I've hit a personal crisis, i looked back on recent troubles, visited my moms grave and just spent ages saying prayers for everyone, cleaned the graves and went for a long walk - I'm getting to my goal by doing inner thoughts and asking God for help.
