Not a word about death;
the focus solely on you, God.
And how else could it be
with the mysteries remaining?
Who else to lean on
but you our stout tether post—
you who we've come to know
as the one most lasting and real?
As we move through our lives
as we must
attending
to responsibilities
numb within
and weeping as memories rise
who else within
return to
praying mercy for the lost
and hoping for peace?
I just read that the Kaddish Prayer cannot be said alone. I am not a minyan of 10 Jews, but I will join you in your prayers.
thank you, suzanne. and thank you for taking the time to read and comment. -glen

A most touching and wonderful poem. Reaches really deep. Found it extremely beautiful, sincere and touching. A poetic personal prayer that all who read and can certainly relate to and willingly participate in.
