Rejection Poem by Jason P Klingensmith

Rejection

Rating: 5.0

This life is going
nowhere fast.
Full of pain
and a shameful past.
Why does happiness
take so much work?
Why is my life filled
with so much hurt?
I once was told
that it could be worse
but what is more dreadful
than this powerful curse?
I'm cast in the shadows
and not given a chance.
They play with my mind
with my emotions, they dance.
Too saddened to live
too coward to die.
Will my inspiration come
and tempt me to try?
Will it change?
Nobody can tell.
Will you be my angel
to release me from hell?

Heartfelt rendition of words from the heart. Well conceived and elegantly brought forth. Thanks for sharing Jason.
