Religious Writer Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Religious Writer

How grateful the world should be
for six thousand hymns written
by Heaven's own Charles Wesley
an English Methodist, born in 1707
died in England in 1788.

Wesley hymns
reach the Venus Star
for religious hearts take wing...
yes they are so popular
a few titles I now bring:

Jesus Lover of My Soul
Love Divine All Love's excelling
O for a thousand tongues
Soldiers of Christ Arise
Ye Servants of God...

Wesley was so very wise.

I humbly submit a diamond verse
as I give my thoughts to a great
great religious Writer of Hymns
the Late Charles Wesley.

We sing
~hallelujas~
hosanna forever
to God in the heavens above
we kneel down to pray at end of the day
our inner soul pure as a dove
rejoicing together
hymns forever
We sing.
