Relinquish The Time Poem by Airda Jones

Relinquish The Time

Relinquish that heart
That which is engraved
To my only tombstone
Meant for this and my lifeless form unsaved
And here you must forfeit
What is not yours to claim
No more than a rotten piece, decaying
Melting away its earthly name
Why be so much at stake
Over an accursed soul left to burn
Rubble to the wind's kiss, nothing else
And still in the ashes it yearns
Entitle it to what is due
If only a moment in silence
Eternally tells all in good time
And so it should from here hence.
