Same Old Moon Poem by Airda Jones

Same Old Moon

To have seen the world built
Then work towards its fall
What age did you find
You desired most of all

Seen all the discoveries
That man made to progress
Then watched as with
Their own ideas, they regressed

To elope around the earth
To be seen and forgotten soon
To have been made by the almighty
Please tell me, dear moon

Was there ever a time
When your glow was brighter
Was there ever a moment
When you flew lighter

A pity for you that this world
Takes advantage of your sight
However I will continue on
To treasure your brilliance every night.
