I can remember the time back then,
before the drug life began to happen,
the smiles you gave were so amazing,
but I was too busy just blazing.
Your mind is a perfect work of art,
we have the same dreams within our hearts,
I think of you when I feel down and out,
memories of you make me remember what love's about.
Nothing in life can compare to this,
you radiate this true feeling of bliss,
I want you in my life every single day,
I'll clean up my act and get my head straight.
Your face shines a beautiful light,
it overcomes those dark, lonely nights,
you know when I saw you with other guys,
it really tore me up inside.
I tried to hide the way I felt about you,
cause I wasn't sure if you felt the same way too,
I wanted so badly for you to understand me,
but you were better off being happy and free.
I was not the type of guy that you'd have wanna been with,
cause I knew deep down that I had nothing to give,
I always knew that I would bring you down,
so I tried to keep myself from comin around.
Now that I'm gettin my act together,
I feel lighter than an eagle's feather,
so now I'll try to get you in my life,
that's where I've always wanted you, I won't lie.
I may not be as intelligent as you,
but i know that I am far from a fool,
I see a bright future so I keep movin on,
I may have abused drugs but my mind's not gone.
I hope that you know who you are,

I say these words cause they are so true,
