Remember Me Poem by Curtis Brown

Remember Me

As I pass
Remember me as I was
Not as I am
That funny guy you talked to
The one that you cried too
The one that was always there
Though the dark and good times
Though snow and rain
Though hell or fire
The one you told your secrets too
The one that told you the truth
Remember me as I was
Not as I am
Keeps the laughs we shared
The smiles we had
As the last present from me.
Remember me as I was
The one that you loved.
