Remembering First Love Poem by Rahul Singh

Remembering First Love

Dedicate two minutes to the first love of your life
When all you wanted was to be a lovely pair
A good husband and a wife
For some first love maybe was
At the age of 7
And they don't even remember all the details
But still ‘heaven'
Heaven is what the moments can be compared with
So is the essence of love
Love, beyond time
Beyond truth yet not a myth

Dedicate two minutes
Two minutes to someone whose mischief
Made you smile
To someone who once stood at a call
but you behaved like it's miles
miles that separate you
and due to shyness you couldn't call
dedicate two minutes to someone who taught you what blushing is
to the first love of your life

first love
who was once a teacher
and for times was a friend
sometimes showered love as a mother
sometimes was more a foe
sometimes brittle as iron
and sometimes as dough

first love
who for times made us cry
for some who didn't even bid good bye
and for some who couldn't bid good bye
for some a prized possession
for some
as deadly as poison
for some an unforgettable dream
for some their first scream
but at the end
someone unforgettable
either as a sparkling drink
or as a bitter medicine
doing wonders within
but for some still bad
something worth hatred
first love!
