Reminisce Poem by Ella Goodman

Reminisce

I don't have to love you any more,
Like seasons this time stood to door,
Fly away in whiskers into another world,
No it's not mine, I now should understand.
What gains I made, what loss bequeath my soul
I stand here not to judge, the dreams unto me,
Let they sore. Oh! My eternal soul I have for
Long hours waited at the gate. But alas!
There was not a sound to be heard,
Like seasons time changed while there I thronged.
Now when I look behind, envisage the times,
Spent in golden glow, my heart leaps with glee.
I have gained the hours of soft fame,
To be praised by your eyes. I have lived my day,
Fulfilled in charm to last till I dry.

This day and that day when we thus met,
It rained in soft feel. Wet and cold the air sang,
Like some invisible one playing the cords,
To strike the heart, make each moment a perfect being.
You stood at the door to luminescent the scene,
Smiling in poised penchant zeal.
The puzzle of my heart seemed solved,
But perhaps it was only a day dream!
As I think of the sweet hours spent in shimmery dale,
A quaint smile crosses my face and my mind there dwell.
Oh! It was bliss, a paradises feast!
As if my hunt was over and I found that special thing.
The very thing that lent me the wings to let fly,
Into a world resplendent with resolute dreams.
But like seasons time changed while I stood in pseudo-whims.
