Remnants Of A Soul Poem by Michael Jenkins

Remnants Of A Soul

Scattered, broken, seared
traumatized by the sight
Worn down by fears
Torn by doubt
trying to regroup
pushed, pulled,
manipulated
ripped to shreds by all the gossip
tired, crazed. hurt,
wondering what to think,
grasping, breathing, understanding
a need to let go
Knowing, feeling, hating
that it'll never happen again.
