Repeling Poem by Dennis That Lil' Menace

Repeling

Magnets atracting and pushing...
I am a Monet
from a distance i look amazing
but in close i'm nasty dots like childs play...

Only opposites attract
to bad i am far from pushing off from you
the odds always stacked
it will always be the houses favor
but in the dark halls view
i am the light... the glimmer of hope
shining ever so slightly
but like a venus fly trap once in close...
i close the door on you
these noxiuos pant fumes slowly kill you
so you run... taking my heart
the key!
so when we part
you took me...
wrapped around your finger like the ring should be...

Still I repeling like a magnet stay
still, safe unmoving
like David Groel singing
'My head gives me life or death but I can't choose'

and like a monet the greater the distance the more perfect...
till i fade from view...
lost in the aspect
of what you once knew...
And so you run...
turning back to witness beauty
to bad in your stupidity
you realize we are repelling
never ending game of keep away
and yet for some reason
I
Wish
To
Say
I love You?

Mr. Rathbone down there made me laugh, and I will say I caught your spelling mistakes as well, but otherwise this is a great poem. I hope to see more from you.

I did this as a tribute to a poem called magnets by a girl Meagan (Emo) White
