Resonating Peace: For Just One Moment Poem by Twisted Moon

Resonating Peace: For Just One Moment

Rating: 5.0

Walking back from class,
The sprinklers are on,
I hold my hand above the wet grass,
And for just one second the pain is gone.

A fragment of a dream,
Or so it would seem, feels my head,
As the stars gleam,
Revealing the black roses as red.

And for once my soul understands,
That all of this is real,
If we would just open up our hands,
And let ourselves feel.

If we would just open our eyes,
And look past all of the pain,
You realize, that sometimes clouds hide the sunrise,
But we can still enjoy the rain.

And it's as simple as cake,
With every heartache we've had,
And with all the lumps that we take,
Life isn't so bad.
