Respect Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Respect

Your star like the house of seven gables
A great ship out the window
Salem in a witches wind
Black cats and fog in the cemetery
I kiss you and know you are a vampire

You are a lonely soul who visits at night
Out of the corner of my spirit I feel you
Your mind is a vase of kisses
Silent as a deep secret
Your ghost perfume as I suck your finger

Order rules the chaos within
Your poetry is a sweet mask
Pray for me because your love hurts
Tremendous moon in my prison
Dappled candle drips with lions

You want me in the shadows
Ah! But I am of the light
Like Bogart in Casablanca
I let you go for the sake of real love
Real love is righteous though tempted

You see my dear your respect means more
