Rest Assured Poem by Slim Jay

If i follow the ways of the evil one
After guidance has been made manifest
If i walk in the shadow of sin
What good returns should i expect?

A moment to spend at the feet of a scholar
A moment to share engaged in praising our maker
A moment to spend in acts of kindness and doing good
A moment to be there; near, to feed my soul with good food

I have a journey so do you
Yet you envy me, how could you?
You recite the book of the Most Gracious
Yet you lead a life of vice and rebellion
You cover your head and face
Yet your heart is filled with filth,
And your mind with greed and envy
It's a shame, to the deen you are a disgrace
Make tawbah and follow the path of taqwah
Allah is Alim, He is The..Ghafuuru-Rahiim

There are many who chant slogans
And wave their hands in the air
They portray Islam in their dressing
And spread lies here and there
To the world they perceived as saints
But their hearts are black, more than coal
They pay lip service
Preaching that which is not in their acts

They would ignore they lives
And spy on others
Back-bite and slander
To what end? oh my lovely sister,
To what end? oh my dear brother?
The end is drawing nigh
Be attentive, let your ears attend
Be wary and alarmed
Stay away from Haram

The Almighty who raised the sky high
And made the mountains firm
Is He not the one who teaches
By the pen? will you then not reflect?

Truth is evident for all to see
Whether you smite your faces
Or bury your head in the sand
Whether you pretend to smile
And show acts of kindness and love
Or shun evil and accept truth
In your heart and in your mind
Allah is watching, and the Malaika..They are prompt in recording
