Rest My Heart Poem by Jureca Failanga

Rest My Heart

Rest my heart,
Relieve yourself from the weight of your armour.
Let the sages of time perform their powwows
on your wound in the bivouac of your solitude
Find your solace in the soliloquy of pain,
you utter so eloquently.
Passively resist the atrophy of your being as you are fired by
the dilating truths,
of false forevermores, you have not sought but has found you
defenceless.
Suffer in silence the spasm caused by
pseudo-admirations and quasi-relationships.
Find your silence amidst the rising decibel
of the cacophony of misery and binarism,
Remain buoyant in an ocean of conundrums that intends to drown you…
and accept the answers offered by the NOW!
Rest my heart!
