I understand the lines in the rock
The waves in the ocean
The unforgiving fire
And the wind through the trees
I've found the road to nowhere
I roar louder than thunder and it shakes the rocks
I fly faster than time, I tear the wind
I cry out 'Heaven save me! '
The reply is 'No'
So I sink to the bottom of the ocean
What did I do to deserve these flames?
I march to the top
And that's when I hear it
The sound of the mountain
It was like hearing the voices of all that came before
A realization that I do not need the heavens
I have my soul
My memories
I have not fallen
I have become the immortal
The word
God
It is now my right hand
I do deserve the flames
I have earned them
