Resurrection Poem by Suresh Dogra

Resurrection

Night beckoned the sun
To come and rest
In its lap
The sun didn't obey
And took the whole day
To return, burnt out
Exhausted and pale
It went down
Into the gulf of night
To appear again
Resurrected
By the rosy kiss of dawn
