Retribution Poem by Emily Newland

Retribution

My spirit has fallen
You've pronounced me guilty and for this i pay,
day after day,
It torments me
Your actions try to suffocate me
although your visists were meant to soothe me
Your vindictive heart has turned on me
Your pain into my pain
I'm caught up in emotions unheard of,
well I've never heard of....
It' taught me the true meaning of retribution,
And as i endure the painful days here comes the taunting nights,
Faces, her faces, your faces haunt me
Lighting fire of anger
Gashing unhealed wounds
Piercing holes in my soul
Filling it with your resentment
When will it all end?
