Retrospection Of Achilles Poem by punsara amarasinghe

Retrospection Of Achilles

Rating: 5.0

Oh, Muse,
I sing of thee
behold the grief of.......
mighty Iliam
Dardan fate is
shattering by my sword
flesh and blood
are threshing on the road......
In the power of
almighty Zeus.......
Achians are roaring like bulls
Trojans are scraming like gulls.......

Day was finished
by fear and sorrow.........
But
we went to the hut with
chear and zeallow......
My mug is fillin
glittering Nector........
My mind is burning
wriggling sombre............
blood and tears from
young Trojans, encircling
my GOUL........
mourn of ravished nymphs, shuddering
my SOUL.........
I see laments, forlorn in
everywhere...........
Oh, no......no.........lord........
free my ego from sadness...........

I got nothing except,
Curse from young Trojan women.....................
