Returning Home Poem by Ima Ryma

Returning Home

I did change my schedule so that
I could return to the home where
I spent my youth in habitat
With family without a care.
My family are now all gone,
And I am old and soon will be
Reaching time also to move on.
But something deep inside of me
Brought me back in an early night
To watch you all moving inside,
Enjoying dinner in delight.
I feel some guilt that I have spied.

It is the home that I once knew,
And now it is the home for you.
