Reunion Poem by Bolami lawal

Reunion

In the night of our reunion
That night that shared our bond
Memories flow like a river
Each word spoken was in silence
Each step was in the memory of our past

Those cracks were signs of doom
And the space we breeded was sure to ruin
Those words we spoke were darts of arrow
The unspoken word was like a volcano
And the cloud was without a sliver lining

Those days were lead in emptiness
Those efforts were futile; and
Those years were considered wasted
There was a part of me that left with you
That tiny part without which am incomplete

Before this night was i stripped
But tonight i found my rhythm
Tonight as you covered my nakedness
My heart beats again; and
With that single kiss you filled the space,
In that moment of reunion;
I knew am complete!
