Revenge Did Me Wrong - Poem by samantha barr

Revenge was tempting, like catching a butterfly
It was friendly and gave me hope
Revenge whispered unspoken promises
But I forget, she was a cruel mistress.

Revenge made a fool of me
Tempting me to do her bidding
But alas I was the blinded fool
Revenge was truly a two edged sword
