Reviewing The Situation Poem by Tex T Sarnie

Reviewing The Situation

Rating: 5.0

A boy and a girl notice each other
they smile and engage their eyes.
At first they see the hair, the lips,
the body shape, hips, and thighs.

The shape of the face, and the way they move.
On meeting they see the complexion, ears, and teeth.
The hands, fingers, and nails, the way they move,
hold their head, and hesitate to speak.

They hear their voice and laugh see their stare, grimaces and grin.
Experience their smell, character, attitude, and mannerisms.
Their opinions, likes, dislikes, and dreams,
experiences, knowledge, and ambitions.

Teenagers' requirements are much the same,
but physical attraction is how one is noticed.
And if one is fortunate enough to get a smile.
The door is open for a meeting to be voiced.

When a man views a longer-term relationship,
he considers and compares the pros and cons.
This is when he thinks deeply about her potential.
Will she be right, or will she be wrong?

Is she a spender, and financially demanding?
Does her social life, include fashion, and jewellery?
Do her eyes and purse try to keep up with the Jones's?
Does she want to spend mine and save her own money?

Has she qualifications and is she ambitious at work?
Is she basically lazy, and looking for a free ride?
Is she progressive with her sexual performance and views?
Does her personal hygiene meet with what is required?

How often does she like to shower or takes a bath?
Does she change her underwear at least once a day?
What is her attitude towards cleanliness in the home?
Can she do laundry, and have a wash and ironing day?

Is she is a natural homemaker, and can she cook?
Has she a pioneer spirit and an adventurous heart.
Are taking holidays an important part of her life,
is it sun and sand, or architecture, and art?

What does she really think about religion?
Having children, and their future education?
What are her politics, and would she march and protest?
Is she a patriot and is she for the monarchy and nation?

What does she think about music, sport, hobbies, and pets.
Does she have hang-ups, phobias, illnesses, hundreds of shoes?
Are her parents and siblings foremost in her life?
Is she a secret drinker and sufferer from hangover blues?

What are her favourite foods and dislikes?
The colours she likes and detests?
Does she prefer a hot or cold climate for her holidays?
Is she competitive in everything, and sulks if she isn't the best?

What do I have in common, and what do I not?
Can our goals and dreams be the same?
Is she capable of compromise?
Could she say sorry, and willingly take any blame?

A female's philosophy is so much simpler.
They find the ideal, ripe for change man.
Immediately from day one the process will begin,
to create the most perfect specimen they can.

However, if she does not succeed in her quest,
it will be because of his failure and not hers.
She may not have complete mental domination,
but is this enough, or will it end in a divorce and tears.

On the other hand, if she is successful in her quest,
and does manage to create the perfect lap-dog man.
Will she eventually lose interest in her star puppet,
or will she will find other interests wherever she can?
