Revisit The Past Poem by Katherine Bryce

whenever I look,
up at the stars,
I know there was,
something there. 

I know I'm missing,
something I held dear,
but as it seems,
I've forgotten what it was. 

when I close my eyes,
I see something,
something in the distance,
something I used to know. 

but now it comes to,
remembering what it was,
what it meant,
and how I felt. 

why is it that,
it seems like,
all love is gone,
and there's nothing left.

what I want to remember,
I tried so hard to forget,
and I hope I'll never,
revisit the past.
