Rhapsody Poem by Kamran Qureshi

Rhapsody

Rhapsody
Dressed in perpetuity,
Awaits us in dwellings
Built alongside shores
Of tranquil rivers,
Rivers transparent, rivers blue,
Rivers of honey gold, wine, and whitish hue
That stream through gardens
Of ageless green.

And I ask you this, my queen:
'While we continue to walk
The tightrope of life,
Would you be interested
In accompanying me there? '
