On a bright sunny morn,
She climbed up on high,
Sat on a rainbow
to watch the world go by.
Up came Mr. Squirrel with a letter for her,
She looked inside, then smiling with glee,
what it read and what it said
Made her waltz up a tree.
'I want to know
will you be my bride? '
Down came she,
Waving to birds flying beside.
'Oh yes! ' said she,
'My squirrel most dear,
But first we must store
some food, for winter I fear'
So Mr. and Mrs. Squirrel,
The happy bride and groom,
set off on the rainbow
for their honeymoon.
Winter passed, and one summer's day,
the family came out to play.
They rode up the rainbow,
Watching bees buzz away;
With Pollen for their boots,
Golden Honey for display,
and watched them build
their castle, in a bundle of hay.
Then one sunny day,
they all went away,
riding the rainbow,
to a land faraway.
